The brave captain heard it, and thought of his home, In a cot by the brook in a cot by the brook. There is a lot of research in this work and the author has done a fair job turning that research into an interesting tale. Many of the stories are humorous, but the comedy is often dark as the writer always lets the reader peak into the souls of the gamblers, hookers, scam artists, and other degenerates who live in the shadows of the glittering Strip casinos. The book also gives little place to the role of modern technology in shaping the world.
